Planning your Summer Vacation to Breckenridge

Planning a vacation should be fun! Take the stress out of planning your summer vacation to Breckenridge with these simple tips and tricks.

Book Early

Breckenridge is a popular place and will book up fast.  Try to book your lodging and airfare two to three months in advance to avoid getting in a bind.

Make Reservations

We are home to over 100 restaurants and pubs.  Use opentable.com to reserve your group for dinner. Be sure to reserve at least a week in advance!

Avoid travel delays and make reservations for transportation to and from the airport whether that be a shuttle or a rental car.  Remember, Breckenridge is about an hour and forty-five minutes  from the Denver Airport.

Drink Lots of Water

Altitude in Breckenridge affects everyone differently.  The best way to avoid altitude sickness is to drink a lot of water before you arrive.  If you are feeling a bit wheezy once you arrive, stop by the Soothe Spa for an oxygen treatment.*

Pack Layers

Did you know Breckenridge’s record high temperature is only 89 degrees? It is summer, but because of Breckenridge’s high-altitude environment, we can get every season in one day.  Always have a rain jacket on you, you would be surprised how quickly an afternoon shower can roll in.

Be in the Know

Check out the events calendar and find something for the whole family to enjoy while you’re here.

While it is important to plan, keep your itinerary flexible. Anything can happen, so it’s always best to adjust your plans as you go.  We can’t wait to see you here this summer!
