22nd Annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships January 24-28, 2012

Come watch snow transform into beautiful works of art before your eyes at the 22nd Annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships! Each January, teams of artists descend on Breckenridge to turn 20 ton blocks of snow into amazing sculptures using only hand tools!

From more whimsical scenes depicting Santa Claus or a ladybug on a flower to intriguing abstract shapes, sculptors form these creations before thousands of spectators over the course of the event. Observers are also invited to explore the shops, boutiques, restaurants and nearby galleries offering more durable non-snow art. This is a great way to spend an evening with the family after a day on the slopes because the sculptures take on a beautiful glow when illuminated at night.
